Voter Registration (Confirm, update or add my name and/or home address)

The voters’ list for the By-Election is prepared from data kept by Elections Ontario. The municipality received the Preliminary List of Electors from Elections Ontario on April 22, 2025.

Your name must be on the voters’ list in order for you to cast a ballot in the upcoming By-Election.

NEED TO AMEND YOUR INFORMATION ON THE VOTERS' LIST?

Electors can use one of the forms (printable or submit online) below to correct any of their personal information as contained on the Voters' List (examples: birthdate, school support, occupancy status, address). Eligible electors not on the Voters' List can also use this form to add themselves to the Voters' List.

Help to Determine if you're on the Voter's List?

  • Contact us at the Municipal Office at 1-800-928-2250 or 613-928-2251 to speak to Election Staff to confirm or update your electoral information;   OR
  • Visit the Municipal Office (1439 County Road 8 in Chantry) between the hours of 8:30-4:00 (Mon-Fri) and speak to someone from the Clerk's Office or email .

If your name is on the Voters' List, you will receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail which will provide you with a unique PIN. You will need this PIN in order to vote. Do not lose this letter.  

Important Notes:

Submitting the EL15 form in person: If you choose to submit the EL15 Form in person, you will be required to show proof of Identification. 

Submitting the EL15 form by email: If you choose to submit the EL15 Form  by email, you will be required to submit proof of identification.

Submitting the EL15 online: If you choose to use the online submission of the EL15 Form, you will be required to upload proof of identification to confirm identity, residency, and/or citizenship, etc.

The Township of Rideau Lakes is committed to protecting and securing the private information of all applicants and such information will only be reviewed by Election Officials.

If you or your spouse own or rent property other than your home address in Ontario, you might be eligible to vote in more than one municipal election.
